This will perhaps be the first time when Sushant Singh Rajput will share the stage with Shah Rukh Khan.
Before making a comeback on television with Star Plus’ flagship show TED Talks: Nayi Soch, Bollywood’s biggest star Shah Rukh Khan will make an appearance on close friend Farah Khan’s show – ‘Lip Sing Battle’ (Star Plus), which is based on popular American TV show Lip Sync Battle. Despite of getting some of the biggest celebrities on board the show hasn’t been able to impress the audience. The Indian version sees personalities from the field of cinema, television, music, and sports competing against each other in a lip sync battle. They select their favorite songs and then perform on them with the help of props and costumes.
Parineeti Chopra- Karan Johar, Sonakshi Sinha-Badshah, Riteish Deshmukh-Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Ayushmaan Khurrana – Raveena Tandon, Nakuul Mehta- Surbhi Chandna are some of the names that have already appeared on the show. And now it’s time for mega star Shah Rukh Khan to grace the show. He will make a guest appearance in Sushant Singh Rajput and Sania Mirza’s Diwali special episode. They will shoot the episode on Monday.
Shah Rukh had earlier paid a surprise visit to the sets of the show to wish Farah best of luck for her first day of shoot. He had promised her that he will soon make an appearance on her show. Farah has reportedly been planning this special episode since a while now.
As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, Sushant and Sania will perform on SRK’s hit songs after which the actor will make a grand entry. Sushant, who is a huge fan of SRK, is keen on performing on his all-time SRK favorites – Chaiya Chaiya (Dil Se) and Ruk Ja Ae Dil Deewane (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge).
Farah Khan confirmed the news to the daily and said, “We get different kinds of people to come and do amazing stuff on the show, like Shilpa Shetty doing a take-off on Amitabh Bachchan’s Hum hit Jumma Chumma and Raveena Tandon dressed up as Anil Kapoor’s Lakhan and swinging to the beat of ‘One Two Ka Four’. It’s exciting now to have Shah Rukh on the show with Sania and Sushant. Sushant confided he loves performing on SRK’s songs and it will be interesting to see Sania dance too. The idea is not to have the regulars come on to promote their films but interesting guests get competitive and have fun. Everyone plays to win.
