Confirmed! Alia Bhatt-Vicky Kaushal’s Raazi to release on May 11, 2018, and we are counting the days already.
Ever since it was announced, Raazi has kept us hoping that it releases sooner than later. Why you ask? Well, for one, it stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal – acting powerhouses who have proved their mettle in their respective films in the past. Secondly, it is being directed by Meghna Gulzar. Now, do we need more reasons to wait for the film with a bated breath? So imagine our delight when we were told that the film finally has a release date! Yes, Raazi will release on May 11, next year, and believe us when we say that we can’t keep calm!
Announcing the same on Twitter, trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, tweeted a picture from the sets of the film and begun a countdown too. ‘7 months to Raazi’ read the picture and he tweeted, “7 months to #Raazi… Stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal… Meghna Gulzar directs… 11 May 2018 release. pic.twitter.com/rpCr0wcs20” Well, we don’t blame him. Even we have marked our calendars and are counting down the days for the film’s release. Check out the tweet right here…

The film has already completed two schedules and the unit was quick to tweet about the completion of both of their schedules. From the happy faces that we saw, it is evident that the shoot must have been smooth sailing and we are not even surprised. When you have driven individuals to collaborate on a project, there’s hardly any room for negativity.
Raazi has our curiosity piqued for all the right reasons. Not only are we kicked about seeing two acting powerhouses – Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal – coming together, but the story that they are collaborating for seems to be such a challenging one. Based on the book Calling Sehmat, the film is the story of a Kashmiri girl, who is married to an army officer. The film is set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Alia and Vicky have been doing prepping up for their roles since quite sometime and had also done a few workshops together to get the dialect and character right.
